School performance

We work hard to create an exciting and engaging curriculum through which we teach our pupils the basic skills they need in Maths and English as well as developing their social and emotional skills. We have high expectations of our pupils and want them all to aspire to achieve as well as they can.

Our data is very detailed and hard to explain briefly, however it is important for you to know that we track each individual pupil in at least reading, writing and maths very carefully throughout the year and at the end of every year. An overview of our annual data assessment is as follows:

Reception

  • A baseline assessment during the first few weeks
  • Termly assessments to track progress in all areas
  • A final assessment at the end of the year to check what progress has been made overall

Year 1

  • Termly assessments in reading, writing and maths to track progress
  • National Phonics Test

Year 2

  • Termly assessments in reading, writing and maths to track progress
  • National Key Stage 1 assessments in reading, writing and mathematics

Our data can be viewed on the Department for Education website:

Please note that there were no formal assessments in the summer of 2020 due to Covid 19.
