Sunrise and Sunset Club 

Sunrise and Sunset Club is available for children who attend both St Josephs Infant School and St Josephs CE Junior School. It takes place in the newly renovated building adjacent to the Infant School.

Our ethos is to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn through all different types of play. Our environment has a home from home feel, to encourage our children to grow within their social and emotional skills. We use Working with Others (WWO) to build the children’s confidence, self-belief and trust within relationships between staff and other children. It also supports the children in communicating with other children outside of their age range.

We provide a variety of activities including a club within club. These clubs are designed and planned by our children and they are changed every half a term. WE encourage to lead and plan their own activities to build their confidence and self-esteem as well as their relationships with other children. 

Organisation

Sunrise Club runs from 7.30am, we then drop the children off to their schools and stay with them until they are safely handed over.

Sunset Club children are collected from the two schools and taken to club. Children in Years 5 and 6 may walk to club on their own if they wish and with written permission from parents. Parents can book sessions to 5pm or 5.30pm and children must be collected promptly otherwise parents will incur additional cost.

Snacks

Breakfast - cereals and toast are provided daily for children who want them. In the afternoons we provide children with a substantial snack between 3.30 and 4.30. For example; sandwiches, sausage rolls, pasta, cheese and pizza.

Children have access to fruit at all times.

We are fully OFSTED registered (Registration number 125822)

Costs:

Sunrise Club = £7.50

Sunset Club early session (5pm) = £10.  Late session (5.30pm) = £12.50 (Please note prices are subject to change) Children may attend on a full time/part time basis. However, places are limited and must be booked and paid for in advance. No refund is given for absence due to sickness.
